Visiting a Foreign Country

My sweet cousin absolutely adores traveling. Every year, she and her family go on multiple vacations. Recently, my cousin and her daughter vacationed in the Dominican Republic. Almost immediately after her beach trip, my adventurous relative and her husband traveled to Paris. Would you like to visit a foreign country for the first time this year? Consider hiring an experienced travel agent to help you plan a vacation you’ll be talking about for years to come. On this blog, I hope you will discover the benefits of consulting with a travel agent before traveling abroad for the first time. Enjoy!

Why a Timeshare Might Be a Good Idea

by Noah Mitchell

While planning a family vacation may seem like a lot of fun, making the actual arrangements can be a bit of a hassle. Not only do yo have to decide how you will get to your destination, but you also have to make reservations for where you will be staying and make sure the place will suit your needs. To make the arrangement part of your vacation planning go a lot smoother, consider buying a timeshare. Here are just a few of the benefits.

Know Your Schedule

When you buy a timeshare, you can also buy the exact week you want to go each year. This makes it easy to make travel arrangements well in advance to save the most money. You may also choose to buy a unit with a floating date. This allows you to change which week you will be going each year, but you can plan well enough in advance to ensure everything fits in your schedule.

Know What You Are Getting

While you could book a condo, hotel, or vacation house for your stay, you can never be sure of what it will be like when you get there. Room sizes, amenities, and extra things like laundry supplies, linens, and even games for the kids when you aren't going out are things you need to know about before packing. When you go back to the exact same place every year, you know what is already there. This saves you from packing items you will not need or spending money on things you thought would be there.

Get More for Your Money

While you have to pay your portion of the property cost upfront, or get a loan for it, and you have to pay the fees for the time you are going to be there, buying a timeshare is still a good idea financially. Consider that you will be getting a vacation home that has all the amenities you want, in a location you want. Then consider what it would cost to come in for a week and pay for the same amenities, in the same location, without a timeshare. Odds are good you would end up paying much more to stay in a hotel, condo, or vacation rental than what you pay for the timeshare. In addition, you may not be able to afford the same level of quality the timeshare unit affords you.

Do not be afraid to buy into a timeshare. However, make sure that you are the one that contacts the resort itself. Do not go through a sales company unless the resort refers you to them. This way you will be sure that you get what you want at the best price and are not paying a salesperson a large commission.
